Helping make the process of getting on-line a painless and rewarding experience

What do I do now?

You've decided you'd like a web site. Now all we need initially are your ideas, in other words, what do you want your new site to do for you? What information do you want to display? Are you selling products or services? Any information like this is a help in the beginning as we try to get to know your business and how it works.

Domain names. You may already have a domain name but if not then we can arrange one of your choice for you. This domain name is usually based on your business name, or what you do, but it can be anything, providing it's available. It's always a good idea, though,to use what you do as a start. For example let's say that David Jones is a double glazing installation engineer: www.davidjones.co.uk says nothing about his business or what he does. www.doubleglazingwales.co.uk, however is much more descriptive and it's likely that anyone who's looking for double glazing would type this into a search engine particularly if they live in Wales.

Web site hosting. What is it and why will you need it? Well, your site needs to be placed on an internet server to allow your visitors to find it and to allow search engines like Google, MSN etc to add it to its database to facilitate searches. We offer several levels of hosting, each of which depends on how much traffic your site will attract and whether your site uses databases or scripting languages, for example, an on-line shop or catalogue. We can advise you on the best and most economical hosting package for your site.

So we can deal with the whole process of making your ideas work on-line and make it a stress-less and rewarding experience for you. Three steps...

  1. Deciding on a domain name. This is what you'd like to call your site. Or, better still, what your business does.
  2. Obtaining web site hosting. This is the server where your site will reside.
  3. Designing your web site.
